Woodland Cascades – Bastion of the Penitent – The Holding
(Human Player Character): Oh, great.

(Charr Player Character):

Looks like someone tried to break out of here.

(Sylvari Player Character):

Is… is this a prison?

(Asura Player Character):

This is a place of incarceration. Who is it meant to contain?

(Norn Player Character):

Never thought I’d spend time in a place like this.

*These are race-based variations on the dialogue that occurs when you first enter the prison area of the raid.

remnantofahero:

so since I’ve gone into a little more detail about Connie’s dabbling in bloodstone corruption, now’s as good a time to any to point out I spend a LOT of time thinking about what would have happened if no one had saved her, and also recently was prompted to imagine what it would be like if she ascended to raid boss tier.

The arena would be based around Orr, specifically the region where her ship originally sank. Her mechanics would involve a lot of displacing players and shadowstepping around the field, loosely modeled after her skills as a demon stance revenant. Reaching 20% health triggers a second phase, where the bloodstone corruption suddenly and violently spreads, creating a rift that pulls the raid group into a pocket of the Mists that resembles the still-submerged Splitblade.

Crystal Desert – Sandswept Isles – Eastern Complex
Inquest Assistant: That scum in Lab Two took credit for my work! Now he’s getting promoted instead of me.
Inquest Engineer: Easy to fix. Here: fetch these materials after your shift.
Inquest Assistant: One tranquilizer gun. One ravenous test subject. One banana… Why do I need a banana?
Inquest Engineer: You’re gonna be hungry after all that work.
